Trying to connect hp 2848 (j4904a) to an hp 6600-24xg. suggestions? (this stuff has such a steep learning curve). thanks in advance.
We checked the HP Procurve 2848 (J4904A), and we noticed that only supports 10/100/1000Mbps and doesn't support 10Gbs. And HP Procurve 6600-24xg (J9265A) only supports 10Gbs. Since the data rate of these two switches does not match, it's not allowed to connect these two switches. If you would like to get 10G connection, you may need to replace the HP Procurve 2848 (J4904A) switch with a 10G device. I hope this information is helpful.
