WADQS 10 B showing up as QSFP 40G SR4
Q:
I purchased several of the WADQS-10-B modules, which were advertised as being compatible with the Cisco CVR-QSFP-SFP10G adapter. Every time I plug the module into my switch, it shows up as a QSFP-40G-SR4, and does not work with the Cisco GLC-TE SFP modules. According to Cisco's compatibility matrix, this should be a supported combination, but it never seems to cooperate.
A:
I'm sorry for the trouble. Our WADQS-10-B is not an Cisco original CVR-QSFP-SFP10G and works differently from Cisco's original QSA. The QSFP-40G-SR display is normal.
Can you tell me the details of the device model and what is the IOS version?
Our WADQS-10-B requires the device port to be configured with breakout 4X10G, and 10G module is used. We have not tested the module using 1G, so it is recommended that you test whether the 10G module can be connected properly first.
